In Texas, they say “it’s in your blood”. That’s exactly the case with Janie and farm life. With an English degree, editing experience for renowned food publications, culinary passion, a masters degree in business and marketing, and an intense entrepreneurial spirit, she yearned to leave the big city life to get back to the land.
She dreamed of living a farming lifestyle where she could use her artisanal flair to create something incredible, and where every day was anything but routine.
So when life handed Janie lemons, her tenacious spirit unveiled true Texas grit she didn’t know she had. And Texas Goat Cheese was born out of Lorberau Farms, South Texas’ first Grade A goat dairy.
She now shares her passion for farm, food, and family with locals looking for fresh and healthy products through farmers’ markets as well as local food and beverage entrepreneurs who cross-promote South Texas farmers and producers.
